Amputee Football Championships 2006, Volgograd, Russia
From
September 24 to 30, 2006, the
Open European Amputee Football
Championships were held in the
Loginov Stadium in the city of
Volzhskiy near Volgograd,
Russia.
Teams of the following
countries took part: Iran, Russia,
Great Britain, Moldova (Group
A) and Turkey, Sierra Leone, Uzbekistan
and Ukraine (Group B) with the amputee football team
of Russia winning the final match
against Great Britain and becoming the
new European Amputee Football Champion.
